Minecraft is coming out with AR mobile game?

When it comes to AR (augmented reality), we all know that the goal of this technology is to screen the virtual world inside the real world and interact with it. The most successful game to use the technology so far is pokemon go.

Microsoft played a video segment at the Microsoft Build2019 developer conference, and here's the surprise: video appears to be a teaser for the addition of AR to Minecraft. Microsoft has something new planned for Minecraft, and it looks like an augmented reality app for mobile phones.

In video, you can watch Microsoft's creative director Saxs Persson personally get involved in the show. In a teaser video posted to the Microsoft Twitter and YouTube accounts, a woman accidentally swaps phones with a man sitting on a bench. She picks up the phone to discover a new Minecraft game, in which one of the game’s polygonal pigs is wallowing in the mud, overlaid on a real-world surface. The teaser gets a bit fantastical when a pair of Minecraft villagers appear nearby, hinting that the game world will inhabit our own reality.

The end of the film also shows that full details will be revealed on May 17. Microsoft has shown demos of Minecraft working with augmented and mixed reality before — the game is also supported on VR headsets like the Oculus Rift and Gear VR — but this teaser implies something a little different. It’s possible that Microsoft may take a page from Niantic, the developer of Ingress, Pokémon Go, and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, to bring Minecraft gameplay to mobile AR gaming.

At present only this video, it seems that only until May 17, which is the original PC "my world" Alpha release of the 10th anniversary, to know this time Microsoft only added a new AR function, or around the function of a new mode of play, and even a new "my world" AR mobile game. Let's wait and see.
