NPCs will finally hit Fallout 76 in April

Bethesda has unveiled a new gameplay for Fallout 76, this is yet another presentation of Wastelanders, the upcoming expansion of the game. In the video we can see the first wastelanders trailer NPCs within the game, the lack of these characters was one of the main criticisms that the game received and since then Bethesda has started to work.

The trailer lasts around 17 minutes and simply shows us what it would be like now to walk through the world of Fallout 76, from time to time we will get ourselves with NPCs with small stories that relate to the main plot. We can help them or not, in addition there will be some actions that will fall into a sort of "gray zone" so decisions will not always be easy.

After 17 minutes of gameplay it becomes clear that the game prior to this expansion was very empty, Fallout 76 buyers(Fallout 76 store) can see the glass as half full or half empty. And it is now quite obvious that the game came out in chunks, since it is far from being that installment that premiered in late 2018. In April 2020, almost a year and a half after its premiere, players will be able to interact with NPCs finally and receiving missions from them, greatly opening up the possibilities of the game but ultimately only matching what their previous installments had already done.

Not only the NPCs are back but Fallout itself on Steam, this latest installment was exclusive to the Bethesda Game Launcher, another source of criticism for how demanding a simple launcher can be. Now we can buy the game on Steam in its normal and Deluxe edition, let's remember that buying the game on this platform, a part of the payment (30%) is kept by Valve and that is the reason for not publishing in this store until now.

Wastelanders will be a free expansion for the game, until now almost all DLC content has been free and it gives the impression that if it were not there would be even fewer players. Fallout 76 had fewer than 10,000 simultaneous players, so Bethesda hopes to turn the tables on these new free additions, in the most fucking No Man’s Sky style.

Wastelanders will premiere on April 4 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the same day it will debut on Steam.
